#1: Mindful Weight Loss

At the start of 2023, I felt I was just carrying too much flesh. It was high time to tackle the extra pounds that were creeping on despite my healthy diet and commitment to exercise. I knew I didn’t want to punish myself with restriction or risk injury with harsh workouts. The mindful approach of yoga showed me the way. I’d love to share a bit of what worked for me during this workshop.

This workshop will feature some lifestyle review (like getting recipes for healthier body care products) and education/practice around keeping our digestive system working optimally.

- the harmful environmental chemicals in every day products and how to do an in home audit
- how to make some simple food based body care products that save money and the environment
- the importance of good digestion and what yoga can offer through nutritional advice and practices
Build a Self Compassion Contract

You care deeply for others and prioritize their wellbeing. It’s essential that you put yourself at the head of this list. In this workshop, we’ll create a detailed compassion code with ourselves, plan how to put it into practice and study the ancient art of metta (loving kindness meditation).

- what loving kindness meditation really is and how science is supporting this ancient practice
- how to create a compassion contract with yourself to keep you on track with work, family and social commitments
- a lovely heart opening yoga sequence to take home
